Ultra-Conservative Ex- Legislator J.A. Kast Chosen as Chile's New Head of State.
In a decisive second-round vote, ultra-conservative figure José Antonio Kast has won the presidency in Chile.

With more than 99% of polling stations reporting, Kast secured 58.17% of the vote, beating leftist contender Jeannette Jara, who earned 41.83%.
This represents Kast's third presidency, having previously been defeated by the sitting president, Gabriel Boric, in the 2021 runoff.
