Celebrity Traitors Final Episode Mistakenly Uploaded A Full Day Early Outside the UK
Important: This piece does not contain reveals related to the series conclusion
The concluding episode of this star-studded edition of The Traitors was mistakenly made available by international distributors before its scheduled UK airing on Thursday, as confirmed official sources.
Reports indicate that the finale was viewed by a small number of subscribers of the online platform Crave in the North American country; they could view it for a short period before it was taken down.
The installment being uploaded was not considered a mistake by the producing network, and a spokesperson for the company asked those who believe they know the outcome of the show to "avoid sharing any reveals".
"We urge anyone who thinks they know the outcome of The Celebrity Traitors to hold any information they have to themselves," the announcement said.
"Please avoid sharing any spoilers so that the vast audience who have been faithfully following every twist and turn of the show can experience the final this evening."
The Celebrity Traitors is currently the most-watched TV show of the current year, with an mean of 12.6 million viewers over the first four episodes.
Fans of the series have been waiting to see whether deceivers the traitors will win the £100,000 prize for a good cause or whether loyal contestants Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed and David Olosuga will be triumphant.
A past champion of the third series of The Traitors stated that "everyone dislikes spoilers", which are "joy's enemy".
The winner mentioned they will be settling in to view the final this evening as it airs, with all of his family and "some snacks".
Thursday night's final episode is lengthened to 70 minutes on BBC One, with an extended edition of the companion show scheduled to broadcast on the secondary channel after the finale.
Presenter Ed Gamble will be accompanied by the contestants and Claudia Winkleman as they react to the series conclusion.
